T537. Iron siukashi tsuba. 6.7 x 6.9 x .4 cm. The nakago hitsu-ana is .8 x 3 cm. Simple design, subtle tskkotsu on the rim and plate, 1st class iron with a fine, soft patina (my pictures don’t do justice but the last one comes close): lovely. This is another piece from my collection which I’ve owned for at least 10 years. It will be passed over by those looking for flash; it shouldn’t last long here with those who appreciate great iron.
