T483.  Iron sukashi tsuba signed Choshu Hagi Ju Hichi Do Zenbei Nobushige Saku Ichi.  7.3 x 7.3 x .45 cm.  The nakago hitsu-ana is .8 x 2.1 cm.  The collector I bought this tsuba from says the plant is hemp; I’m not so sure about that.  I do know it is a very nice tsuba and the iron has a slight blue cast to it, as would be expected from good quality Choshu work.  Condition is excellent.  $325.
