T378.  Large iron sukashi tsuba with birds in flight, ginger, and chrysanthemum.  8.8 x 9 x .5 cm.  The nakago hitsu-ana is .9 x 2.8 cm.  Myoga (ginger) is in Japanese a homophone (a word that sounds like another) for something that means good luck, I believe, which makes ginger a popular subject for tsuba.  Nice tsuba in fine condition.  $250.
