T137.  Shakudo and gold menuki of horses.  Unsigned, 3.6 cm in length each.  These would make a nice mating with my tsuba T136, the shakudo nanako horses.  Once again the detail and quality of carving is amazing.  I’ve been told this is typical of mid Edo work out of Kyoto.  The menuki come with a box and their condition is near perfect.  $375.
