Q739. Tsuba signed Ichiryu Tomoyoshi Saku. 7.3 x 7.6 x .5 cm. The nakago hitsu-ana is .9 x 2.8 cm.  The Robert Haynes Index lists 7 generations of this family, working in Mito, Hitachi Province, between early 18th and early 20th centuries. The NTHK paper, dated 2011, doesn’t specify which generation they think made this tsuba. A wonderfully fierce dragon coils around the seppa dai and there appears to be a small sword cut in the top, front side of the rim. Condition is excellent. $450.
