Q603.  Iron sukashi tsuba. 7.7 x 7.7 x .5 cm. The nakago hitsu-ana is .7 x 2.4 cm. This is a classic design in Kyo Sukashi work. The tsuba comes in a fitted box with pillow with a small label in Japanese on the side: Age Ha Tsuru no Zu Miyako Sukashi (Picture of raised wing crane, Kyoto sukashi). There is a tiny bit of age corrosion, especially on the rim and nothing even close to serious; otherwise condition is great. The eyes are gold inlay. $1,250.
