K215.  Shakudo with gold, silver, & copper inlay menuki: 2.4 x 1.8 cm at the greatest reach.  Once again I’m sure there is a folk tale or story from history behind the theme: the Samurai rushing a scroll to some important person and that person reading the scroll, but I don’t know what it is.  These menuki are thicker, heavier than usual for the size; I believe this is better than average quality and condition is excellent.  Was $200; now $100.
