C307. Iron tsuba with fan sukashi. 8.1 x 8.4 x .4 cm. The nakago hitsu-ana is .9 x 2.9 cm. A former owner gives this to Saotome (armor maker) and the Momoyama period. There are 4 fan sukashi, 2 of which have been plugged with copper plate, and the copper plates differ in color from one fan to the other. There is evidence of folding: fine lines are visible on the rim. Condition is excellent. $350.
