C258.  Iron sukashi tsuba of chidori (plovers).  6.5 x 6.9 x .6 cm (thick).  The nakago hitsu-ana is.8 x 2.5 cm.  Such a simple design; so elegant.  This tsuba’s consignor gives it to Owari or Shoami; he knows more than me so I won’t quibble.  Excellent condition and patina.  Was $225, now $150.
