C243.  Iron sukashi tsuba.  6.9 x 7.3 x .5 cm.  The nakago hitsu-ana is .8 x 2.6 cm.  I’m not sure what the theme of this tsuba is but it must be something from nature (someone has suggested an upside down rooster, maybe being carried home from market).  The iron of the seppa-dai is slightly grainy and that of the rim appears to be denser, almost tekkotsu-like.  The rim undulates nicely.  $140.
