B587.  Nin Jodai no Buki by Masao Suenaga.  1943.  Hardbound, 7 1/4 x 10 1/2″, about 550 pages in Japanese.  The title of this book translates roughly as Japan Old Times Weapons.  Drawings, maps, and photographs cover a great variety of early armament.  I think it’s quite unusual to have a book published when this was; you’d think Japan would be preoccupied in 1943, but here it is.  Fun to page through; many things I hadn’t seen before.

Corners have been bumped and the hinges have been professionally repaired; the book is in fine condition for its age.  3 pounds, 3 ounces.  Was $80.  Now $40.
