T492.  Iron sukashi tsuba: Akasaka.  7.5 x 7.6 x .5 cm.  The nakago hitsu-ana is .9 x 2.8 cm.  Akasaka was a neighborhood in Edo (old Tokyo) and a very successful school of tsuba making.  This one has a simple design that I find quite pleasing.  Excellent condition.  $225.
