T449.  Iron tsuba with complex inlay.  7.1 x 7.2 x .4 cm.  The nakago hitsu-ana is .8 x 2.5 cm.  8 sukashi, including the ryo-hitsu, are filled with shakudo and gilt silver.  Fine line gold and silver nunome zogan at top and bottom of each side complete the inlay.  The areas near the rim are carved in cloud forms and a shakudo fukurin wraps it up.  This is a very interesting and unusual tsuba in great condition; I think you’ll be pleased.  $325.
