T274.  Iron tsuba signed Futagoyama Norisuke.  6.5 x 7 x .45 cm.  The nakago hitsu-ana is .8 x 2.6 cm.  Chrysanthemums, lots of them, cover the plate, with gold and silver highlights.  The collector who sold this to me said it is the nidai, 2nd generation, Norisuke.  He knows more than I so I won’t argue.  There are a few spots of weak patina on the seppa-dai, which should heal themselves with time.  Otherwise condition is excellent.  Norisuke is known for the many copies with forged signatures he made; this is one of his own.  $550.
