T257.  Iron tsuba.  6.7 x 7.1 x .55 cm at the rim.  The plate is .3 cm and the nakago hitsu-ana is .9 x 3.4 cm.  This is a wakizashi size tsuba with an unusually large nakago hitsu-ana; no idea what that tells us.  Either this has an iron fukurin or the plate has been carved to make it look that way.  There are some prominent tekkotsu on the rim and the soft metal inlay is well done and intact.  $150.
