T222.  Iron tsuba wth gold inlay.  7.6 x 8.3 x .4 cm.  The nakago hitsu-ana is .8 x 2.8 cm.  This was given to Aizu Shoami, circa 1750 by the collector before me.  Very fine carving in excellent condition.  There are 2 sword cuts on the plate, something not often seen.  Almost all of the gold remains on one side and most is missing on the other.  $275.
