T166.  Iron tsuba with brass inlay and overlay.  7.7 x 8.1 x .4 cm.  The nakago hitsu-ana measures .7 x 2.8 cm.  Fat raindrops, fierce lightning, menacing clouds overhead, and some poor schmuck with a very big hat.  This is to my eye Higo work (but what do I know?); the iron, the technique, the over large hitsu ana, the victim in brass, all look like Higo to me.  Condition is excellent; none of the brass is missing.  $450.
