Q823. Tsuba signed Nobuie. 8.1 x 8.8 x .6 cm at the raised rim. The nakago hitsu-ana is .8 x 2.7 cm. Three gourds and a pair of udenuki-ana form the sukashi; vines and leaves with radial lines behind are carved on the plate. There are prominent tekkotsu on the rim and a few flow over onto the edges of the plate. Great patina: wonderful soft surface and excellent condition. Quite nice one that comes in a fitted box. $695.
