Q777. Iron tsuba. 7.6 x 8.3 x .35 cm. The nakago hitsu-ana is .9 x 2.8 cm. On the front we have rain in brass inlay falling on a pond with copper and silver lily pads. On the back are 2 umbrellas in brass inlay with a touch of copper nunome zogan on the bottom umbrella. The surface of the pond is rippled by the rain drops with fine punch work. There is a lot happening on a seemingly simple tsuba. Condition is excellent; none of the inlay is missing. Was $450, now $375.
