Q773. Iron tsuba with extensive brass inlay. 8.1 x 8.5 x .4 cm. The nakago hitsu-ana is .8 x 2.9 cm. This would be classed as Heianjo or Yoshiro zogan; not sure how to know the difference. There was a time when brass, which was imported from China, was more valuable in Japan than gold; brass was important. Very little of the brass is missing here; condition is great. $395.
