Q297.  Iron tsuba; lots of gold.  7.5 x 7.7 x .4 cm at the seppa-dai (thinner at the rim).  The nakago hitsu-ana is .8 x 2.5 cm.  Based on the style and work of the inlaid dragons and clouds I’m giving this one to Higo; which of the Higo groups I can’t say.  None of the gold in the recesses is missing; the rim also is covered in gold nunome zogan and almost all of it is intact.  Excellent condition.  $575.
