Q270.  Fuchi kashira with gold, silver, copper, & mother of pearl inlay.  The inside dimensions for the fuchi are 1.85 x 3.4 x .95 cm deep.  This set is a bit unusual: copper boats with silver sails traverse rough water with sea shells in the air.  Some sort of giant beast (looks like a duck billed platypus) faces the boat on the fuchi and something that somewhat resembles a brontosaurus (but I’m sure it must be something else) sits above the boat on the kashira.  And the closer I look, the more I find to scratch my head about (best quit before this gets too strange).  The set comes in a box and, with the exception of one small dent in the rim of the fuchi, condition is excellent.  $250.
