Q243.  Iron sukashi tsuba.  6.8 x 7.3 x .55 cm.  The nakago hitsu-ana is .7 x 2.7 cm.  This is an interesting collection of themes; not sure what any of them are.

This just in from a serious collector and friend: “The motif on your Q243 is a variation of the gion mamori mon.  Ginkgo leaves and crossed scrolls.  I think the Tachibana used it, but probably others as well – Google has info.”

Jet black, soft surface.  Excellent condition.  $295.
