J128.  Iron sukashi tsuba with gold nunome.  6.7 x 7.2 x .5 cm.  The nakago hitsu-ana is.7 x 2.7 cm.  This is obvious Namban style but the collector who has consigned it here thinks it is Japanese made and heavily influenced by Chinese esthetic, maybe early 19th century.  Very unusual seppa-dai on this: fine carving and great condition.  $250.
