C335. Iron tsuba. 6.5 x 6.5 x .8 cm on the prominently raised rim; .4 cm at the seppa-dai. The nakago hitsu-ana is currently .9 x 1.9 cm; it was taller before the last mounting. This tsuba still retains Skip Holbrook’s tag (it came from his collection) giving it to Momoyama period and Myochin School. Robert Haynes has seen it and has suggested a connection to Nobuiye. Either way, this is quite impressive and in great condition. This tsuba has been published, in the 2015 Kokusai Tosogu Kai catalog. $475.
