C143.  Iron sukashi tsuba signed, “Echizen no Ju Kinai Saku.”  7.8 x 7.9 x .5 cm.  This is as nice an Echizen Kinai tsuba as I’ve ever seen; much better thn the everyday dragon.  A butterfly or, I think, a hawk moth with leaves and gourds.  The wings of the moth are worked in gold nunome and spots on leaves are gold foiled.  There is a shakudo pillow at the kotsuka hitsu ana (nice touch).  The tsuba comes with an unusual but perfectly useable box.

There is one spot on a wing where the tsuba has been lightly scuffed; otherwise condition is excellent.  $650.
