This is a book about great swords that have been severely damaged and brought back to life. If I have this correct (my ability to read Japanese doesn’t amount to much) included are swords that were burned in the fall of Osaka Castle and retempered by Yasutsugu, and other swords in poor condition brought back to life by polishing. Some before and after pictures; it is amazing what a talented polisher can accomplish.
