B1054.  Kokon Kaji Biko by Yamada Asemon.  1975.  Clothbound in 3 slipcased volumes with a cardboard storage box, 7 3/4 x 10 3/4″, 788 pages total in Japanese.  My understanding of this book: Yamada Asemon was the official sword tester and executioner for the Tokugawa Shogun/government.  This book was originally published in 1830 as a 7 stringbound volume set; it has been republished before but this set is the latest and also the only hardbound edition.  This is from a limited edition.
