B675.  Tosogu no Kigen by Sasano Masayuki.  1979.  Clothbound with plastic jacket, slipcase, and cardboard sleeve, 7 1/2 x 10 1/2″, 257 pages in Japanese with an English description of each piece illustrated, # 1688 of a limited edition, inscribed by the author.  Great book on kotsuka, kogai, and tsuba, and important for the arguments Mr. Sasano made about the origins of the art.  Nice to have the longer than average English descriptions and an English translation of the text is available online also.
