B560.  Zabo Tansen by Kokubo & Ootsubo.  1974.  Clothbound with slipcase, 8 1/2 x 12″, 555 pages in japanese.  When this book came in today it was the 1st time I’d ever seen a copy; I’m impressed.  Not a lot of text, crisp photos, a few in color, of 568 pieces of kodogu (almost all tsuba), most shown both sides: this is a very beautiful book and a great reference.

The spine of thi book (not the copy in my picture) is leather; is is sun faded and flaking off tiny bits. Otherwise all is fine: a good reading copy.  8 pounds, 10 ounces.  Now $80.
