T569. Shakudo tsuba. 5.9 x 6.7 x .42 cm on the shakudo fukurin. The nakago hitsu-ana is .7 x 2.8 cm. There must be something in Japanese folklore about foxes (kitsune) dancing on water; I don’t know that one. I do know this is a really fine tsuba: 1st class shakudo and quality carving. There is a lot to like in a little package. Excellent condition. $475.
