T558. Kinko tsuba with the finest of nanako. 6.1 x 6.7 x .4 cm on the shakudo fukurin. The nakago hitsu-ana is .7 x 2.6 cm. I believe the plate is yamagane (native copper), not shakudo. A former owner has posited that this may be a very early tsuba, Kamakura even, due to the old style of ryo-hitsu to match kotsuka and kogai on early koshirae. Interesting idea. $395.
