T538. Iron tsuba. 7.2 x 7.5 x .5 cm on the raised rim. The nakago hitsu-ana is .85 x 2.6 cm. A country scene with small gold inlay here and there; tiny gold and silver ten zogan in the starry sky. The plate sparkles in sunlight, a sign that sa tetsu (sand iron) was used. The layers on the rim have been left partially closed, something that requires incredible skill to pull off. This is another long time member of my personal collection; you should enjoy it at least as much as I have. $675.
