T475.  Iron sukashi tsuba, chrysanthemum with an added ryo-hitsu.  7.3 x 7.3 x .4 cm.  The nakago hitsu-ana is .9 x 2.7 cm.  What I find amazing about this tsuba: as common as kiku sukashi tsuba must have been when this one was altered with an added ryo-hitsu, why would someone have gone to the bother/expense of adapting this one when he could have much more easily replaced it with another.  Someone must have really cherished this tsuba.  I think it is quite special.  Great condition.  $225.
