T432.  Iron tsuba with gold and silver (or possibly sahari) inlay of waves and seashells.  8.5 x 8.6 x .4 cm.  The nakago hitsu-ana is .95 x 3 cm.  A former owner has told me this is Awa Shoami work; he knows more than I do so that’s what I’ll go with.  This is a very impressive tsuba in excellent condition.  There is a museum or large collection inventory number painted on the seppa-dai.  Great piece.  $395.
