T421.  Iron tsuba.  7.7 x 8.2 x .5 cm.  The nakago hitsu-ana is .9 x 2.7 cm.  The cross section is slightly unusual.  It is thickest at the seppa-dai and near the rim; it thins down in the middle.  The shape is a very subtle moko-gata.  Both hitsu-ana are filled with shakudo; the raised relief scenery is worked in shakudo and gold.  Condition is excellent.  $250.
