T416.  Thick iron sukashi tsuba.  6.3 x 6.6 x .6 cm at the slightly raised rim.  The nakago hitsu-ana is .9 x 2.9 cm.  Boar’s eye is the sukashi and not much else other than a heavy, honest plate with a fine, soft patina.  We could say this is a working man’s tsuba.  There is a crack running from the edge to the plugged ana.  Hard to know how it happened.  One side of the tsuba is dented at the crack and the other is domed a bit; must have been quite a blow.  Otherwise excellent condition.  $150.
