T278.  Iron kotsuka with silvered, raised relief of a cricket.  1.5 x 9.5 cm.  I’m often taken with how much well made Japanese sword craft/art can be bought with not a lot of money; this is an excellent example.  There is the finest of stippling on the surface with a great patina built up and in wonderful condition.  $175.
