T265.  Iron tsuba with shaku and gold inlay of Pawlonia.  6.6 x 6.9 x .4 cm at the raised rim.  Tha nakago hitsu-ana is .7 x 2.6 cm.  Whoever iwt was made this tsuba had wonderful skill and control of his materials.  The iron of the rim (which may be a fukurin but more likely is part of the plate) is covered in tekkotsu.  There are tekkotsu on the plate as well, but it is no where near as prominent as that on the rim.  The vertical striations (rain?) are well carved, the inlay is 100% intact, and the brass pillow inside the hitsu-ana is a nice touch.  Condition is excellent.  $150.
