T219.  Iron tsuba.  7.3 x 7.9 x .5 cm.  The nakago hitsu-ana is .75 x 2.6 cm.  I believe this to be late Edo period.  I know it is an incredible example of the carver’s skill.  2 large boats side by side with a smaller boat behind, rollicking waves and amazing detail.  And on the reverse, 2 stylized chidori fly over the water.  Condition is perfect.  $300.
