T209.  Kotsuka with kogatana.  The kotsuka is shinchu (brass) with shakudo, gold, and copper zogan.  Condition is excellent; there are no splits at the seams, scratches, or dents.  The kogatana is signed but too faintly for me to read it.  There is some surface corrosion but no pitting.  The kogatana is loose from the kotsuka; it needs to be set with pine tar.

A nice set, I think.  The mouse is very nicely carved and it’s great to find these not beat up.  $250.
