T186.  Namban tsuba with Chinese boat.  6.9 x 7.4 x .5 cm.  The nakago hitsu-ana is .9 x 2.8 cm.  If tsuba can be fun this may be the most fun.  Everywhere you look there’s something new to see: liittle people hiding behind posts, dual layer carving of the waves, the masts and sails of other ships in the distance, and great carved dragons on the seppa-dai.  The mimi is beads and there is gold all over the tsuba.  Condition is excellent; this one is special.  $750.
