This is why you never ship or travel with a tsuba inside a tsuba box.  The center post of the box is often held in place by 2 tiny, very sharp nails.  The weight of the tsuba is enough to knock the post loose, exposing the nails and damaging the tsuba.  This tsuba isn’t for sale, by the way.  My site requires me to place a price on every listing; $1 worked as well as any.
