Q878. Fuchi kashira. The inside dimensions of the fuchi are 1.7 x 3.3 x .8 cm.  The shakudo plate has a fine, deep patina and inlay of shakudo, copper, and gold. A torri gate and pines are shown on the fuchi; a priest/guardian with a lamp on the kashira. This depicts, I’ve been told, the legend of Aritoshi Shrine. Nice work, with a box. $250.
