Q875. Iron Soten tsuba. 7.5 x 7.7 x .5 cm on the rim. The nakago hitsu-ana is .8 x 2.8 cm. Just yesterday I listed a Soten tsuba in shakudo – see Q865 – this one is quite similar but in iron. The signature is, Goshu Hikone no JU Soheishi Nyudo Soten Sei. Once again the detail is amazing and everything is inlaid with gold. The fukurin is a gold foil, not an inlay. This is a very impressive tsuba in immaculate condition. It comes with a Hozon paper from the NBTTHK in Tokyo, dated 2018. $895.
