Q869. Kinko tsuba with extensive gold inlay. 7.7 x 8.5 x .5 cm. The nakago hitsu-ana is .7 x 2.6 cm. We have a flower cart overflowing with foliage and blooms with butterflies flitting about, all worked in gold inlay on a shakudo plate with a raised, gold covered rim. This doesn’t appear to hold great age,possiblye 20th century, maybe earlier, but it is well done. A fine tsuba to mount. Condition is excellent; this comes in a fitted box with a non-matching pillow. $475.
