Q866. Daisho iron tsuba with extensive inlay. The dai is 7.6 x 8.3 x .4 cm and its nakago hitsu-ana is .9 x 2.6 cm. The sho is 7 x 7.6 x .4 cm and its nakago hitsu-ana is .7 x 2.4 cm. Flowers and buds of gold on gold stems with copper and maybe shibuichi foliage on the fronts and a shakudo butterfly with silver spots on each back side. These were mounted at one time – must have been a very nice daisho. Condition is excellent. The set comes with a daisho box. $850.
