Q821. Mokko-gata iron tsuba. 8.2 x 8.7 x .4 cm. The nakago hitsu-ana is .8 x 2.9 cm. A chrysanthemum is carved into the plate and fine gold has been inlaid to the surface. At one spot at the top the inlay crosses over to the back side. The gold filled ryo-hitsu provide a wonderful added touch. Only a bit of the gold is missing; condition is excellent. $595.
