Q808. Iron tsuba. 8.1 x 8.4 x .42 cm. The nakago hitsu-ana is .85 x 2.5 cm. A nicely carved dragon inhabits this one; he is heavily accented in gold inlay. The mimi is gold nunome zogan and the pillow in the ryo-hitsu is gold inlay also. Excellent condition; very little of the gold is missing. I’m a bit surprised this isn’t signed; I’d think the smith would like to take credit. $495.
