Q585.  Mokko shape iron tsuba with raised rim and gold inlay.  7.1 x 7.2 x .5 cm on the rim.  The nakago hitsu-ana is .75 x 2.8 cm.  The plate’s surface has been altered with a punch or chisel to give it verticle grain; comes across like coarsely woven cloth.  Some of the gold in horizontal lines is missing but some of it may have been left off intentionally.  The shakudo pillows in the 2 ryo hitsu are a nice touch.  I think this deserves a serious look.  $250.
